Grocery-store flowers end up in a mason jar, with murky water and tangled stems on show. This glass vase with wood base is 9.84 in (25 cm) tall, a smoke-gray glass cylinder standing in a round wood-grain holder.

The glass is a separate insert that lifts out, so you fill and rinse this smoked glass vase at the sink, away from the wood. It also works as a hydroponic vase for a pothos cutting in water.

  • Refill without wetting the wood — dry the outside of the glass, then lower it back into the base
  • Room for a real bunch — a 3.94 in (10 cm) wide cylinder holds a hand-tied bunch, a few long stems or one branch upright
  • Murky water, softened — smoke-gray tinted glass mutes the water line and tangled stems while the flowers still show through
  • Works with or without the base — the glass cylinder vase also stands alone on its own narrower foot

Each glass vase with wood base is one smoke-gray style: the glass insert plus its 3.82 in (9.7 cm) wood base, with no flowers included.

Why It Works

Fresh flowers without the wet wood or murky jar.

A glass vase with wood base: the smoked glass lifts out to fill and rinse.

01

Water stays in the glass, off the wood

The smoked glass insert lifts straight out of the wood base, so you fill, empty and rinse it at the sink, away from the wood.

02

Stems and water line, softened

The smoke-gray tint mutes the water line and tangled stems while the flowers still show through.

03

Room for a real bunch

At 25 cm (9.84 in) tall and 10 cm (3.94 in) across, it holds a hand-tied bunch, a few long stems or a single branch upright.

Using It

Refill at the sink, not over the wood

  1. Lift the glass out

Take the glass insert out of the wood base and carry it to the sink.

  2. Fill and arrange

Add water and your stems, then dry the outside of the glass.

  3. Set it back in

Lower the glass into the wood base and place it on your table, console or counter.

No assembly: the glass simply drops into the wood base.

FAQ

Have questions? We have answers.

Quick answers about this product, shipping and returns — everything worth knowing before it ships.

Get it now
Won't the wood base get wet and moldy?

Lift the glass out to fill, empty and rinse it at the sink, so the water stays in the glass and off the wood. Dry the outside of the glass before setting it back.

How tall and wide is it?

The glass vase with wood base stands 9.84 in (25 cm) tall; the glass is 3.94 in (10 cm) across on a 3.82 in (9.7 cm) wood base. That suits a hand-tied bunch, a few long stems or one branch.

Is the base solid wood?

It's a wood base with visible grain, as the photos show. The wood species and whether it's solid aren't stated, so we don't claim either.

Can I root plant cuttings in it?

Yes, cuttings like pothos can sit in water in the glass. The tint makes the water line look softer than in clear glass.

Can I use the glass without the base?

Yes. The glass insert stands on its own narrower foot, so it works alone too.

How dark is the smoke tint?

A medium smoke gray. You can still see the stems through it, as in the photos.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — we offer free shipping on all orders. Most orders are processed within 1–2 business days and delivered within 7–11 business days.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Email us at info@nourgatehome.com with your order number to start a return.

My item arrived damaged — what do I do?

We’re sorry to hear that. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We’ll send a replacement or issue a full refund promptly.

How do I contact Nourgate?

Customer Reviews

About 25 cm tall like listed, great for a dining table centerpiece without blocking sightlines across the table.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Cleaning was always why my vases got gross, but this one you just lift the glass and rinse. Sold.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Using it for dried stems right now and the smoked glass makes even cheap pampas look moody and expensive.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Glass slides right back into the wood holder with a satisfying little seat. No wobble at all.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Bought two to flank the TV console and they look like a matched set. The opening fits a decent grocery bouquet.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

The gray tint is subtle, not black, so it goes with everything. Flowers really pop against it.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Pretty vase and a good height. I did wish the glass were a touch heavier so it felt less tippy when empty, but with water and flowers in it it's stable.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Pulled the glass out to rinse it separately so the wood never got wet, exactly like the description said. Smart design.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

I keep a pothos cutting in it as a hydroponic setup and the smoky glass hides the roots and water, so it just looks like decor. Genius.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Love it overall and the glass insert lifting out makes cleaning painless. Only thing is the base is a printed wood grain rather than solid wood, but from a foot away you'd never guess.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

Wood-grain base plus the tinted cylinder looks way more expensive than it was. Sits about 10 inches on my shelf, perfect scale.

Smoked Glass Vase with Wood Base

The smoke-gray glass hides murky water like a dream, so my grocery-store tulips finally look intentional. Being able to lift the glass out and rinse it at the sink is the feature I didn't know I needed.
