Get it nowIs this actually waterproof for snow?
No — and we would rather say so plainly. It is a thick quilted winter set, warm for the bus stop, the playground and the walk to school, but it is not made or sold as a waterproof snow shell.
What size do I order? My child is 120 cm
Order 5T(120): the maker's chart puts size 120 on a child of 110-120 cm, with a 76 cm chest and a 65 cm trouser length. Allow 1-3 cm either way, as the measurements are taken by hand.
Does the hood come off, and are there any drawstrings?
The hood detaches and goes back on. There are no drawstrings at the hood, the neck or the waist.
Do the trousers have a bib, or will snow get in at the waist?
They are elastic-waist trousers rather than a bib, so they sit at the waist like ordinary trousers. Wear the jacket over the waistband, not tucked into it, to keep the gap covered.
Is it too bulky to wear in a car seat?
It is a padded set, so like any padded coat it adds bulk under a car-seat harness. Most families take the jacket off for the drive and put it back on at the other end; the hood also lifts off if you want less bulk.
Will the filling clump after a wash?
Wash cool, dry low and shake both pieces out while they dry, which stops quilted filling settling into one corner. No care label details are supplied with the set.
